Floating lid gasket tubes

From the original design from JVNW almost 45 years ago, and after a brief absence the original floating lid gasket tube is back, but it’s better than ever. We took the original design with a lot of feedback and a proactive mindset of continuous improvement, carefully evaluated every iteration keeping what worked brilliantly and refining what could be better.

The result?

A redesigned tube that honors the proven foundation while incorporating your insights every step of the way. These tubes are now stronger, more reliable, and built to exceed expectations. Delivering the performance, durability, and fit you’ve been asking for (and then some).

  • Overall Design - We revisited the entire process and made a key decision: we eliminated the uncertainty of overseas ‘unknown’ materials by bringing everything local. To ensure the highest quality, we partnered with highly respected rubber suppliers who are deeply committed to precision, compliance, and customer satisfaction in custom rubber, silicone, and thermoplastic extrusions and moldings. These partners take great pride in the following certifications:

    • ISO 9001:2015 — Quality Management System certification, covering their overall processes for custom extruded and molded products.

    • AS9100D — Aerospace Quality Management System (aerospace-specific extension of ISO 9001), applicable to manufacturing custom extruded and molded organic and silicone products for the aerospace industry.

    • FDA Compliance — Their materials and products meet FDA standards (e.g., for food and beverage contact), as they work with FDA-approved elastomers and reference FDA regulations in specifications.

    • AMS (Aerospace Material Specifications)

    • ASTM D-2000 - Ensures that a selected rubber compound can withstand the harsh environments it will face, such as high under-hood temperatures or contact with oils and chemicals.

    • BMS (Boeing Material Specifications)

Valve Stem - We also took your feedback about the big, bulky valve stem seriously. We brought that design back to the drawing board and created a new, more refined version: the stem base is small but reinforced at the base, with a clean 1” square profile all around. To eliminate sharp edges that could cut into the stem, we added a brass core with a stainless steel cap for added durability and safety.

  • Your success is our success, and that starts with being proactive instead of reactive. Rather than waiting for a problem to arise during crush season, let’s plan ahead together.
If you share a list of your existing open-top fermenters, we can reach out seasonally to check in on your upcoming needs, before any downtime threatens your revenue. Downtime is lost revenue.
Let us help you stay ahead of it. Be proactive with us, so you never have to be reactive again. We’re here to keep your operation running smoothly even before the season even begins.
